Builds Hub

This Builds Hub is the ranking home for No More Room in Hell 2 loadouts after the August 11, 2026 1.0 launch. Ammo is scarce, infection is real, and eight-player cross-play still collapses when everyone brings a loud rifle and no melee plan. Use the child pages below to pick weapons, stack skills, and lock a role before you queue Scenario or Survival.

How to use this hub

Start with the Weapons Tier List if you need to know what to pick up off the floor. Move to the Skills Tier List when you are rerolling credits into Expert variants. Finish with Best Builds when you want ready-made role kits—Executioner, Crowd Control, Marksman, Breacher, Mule, Medic, and Scout.

Rankings here prioritize successful extracts on Classic and Hard public lobbies, not highlight-reel Nightmare clears with stacked friends. S-tier means “takes it every time you see it.” B-tier means “situational but fine.” Nothing here overrides map sense or teamwork.

Ranking criteria

We score gear and skills on:

  • Ammo efficiency — does it win fights without emptying the team pool?
  • Noise vs value — is the gunshot worth the horde it buys?
  • Role coverage — does it help finales, Critical POIs, or Survival waves?
  • Forgiveness — does it save a stamina mistake or punish it?
  • Shareability — can a mule or medic still support the squad while using it?

Melee sits high across difficulties because firearms are force multipliers, not default weapons. A great rifle with no rounds is a melee Responder in denial.

Mode notes for builds

Scenario finales like the Power Plant reward mixed squads: melee anchors, one precision shooter, a breacher, and medical logistics. Survival Mode’s wave defense loves blunt crowd control and disciplined ammo saves between drops. Early extract at three living Responders is a roster tool, not a build failure—leave with the characters you have.

Infection loadouts matter everywhere. Phalanx Pills delay conversion for roughly five minutes; Gene Therapy is the rare full cure and match-long immunity. Builds that cannot carry or share meds are incomplete.

Suggested reading order

  1. Skim weapons tiers and decide your primary pickup rules.
  2. Unlock and prioritize skills that match that weapon family.
  3. Adopt a named build, then leave two flexible slots for map quirks.
  4. Revisit this hub after major patches—attachment changes and new maps shift mid-tier picks.

What this hub is not

It is not a promise that an S-tier crowbar deletes Nightmare alone. It is not a reason to ignite every gun you find. It is a shared language for pubs: “I’m Executioner frontline,” “you’re Medic,” “save rifle ammo for runners.”

Browse the weapons list, skills list, and best builds pages next. Come back when a patch drops or when your favorite Responder dies and you need a cleaner kit for the next life.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Responders preparing for the next deployment.

What pages live under the Builds Hub?

Weapons Tier List, Skills Tier List, and Best Builds—use them together for pickup priority, skill rerolls, and full role kits.

Are these tiers for Survival or Scenario?

Both. Criteria favor extract success under ammo scarcity. Survival leans harder into blunt control; Scenario still needs mixed finale roles.

Should every player run a Marksman build?

No. Too many firearms starve the ammo pool. Most squads want majority melee coverage with limited precision shooters.

Do builds matter if we early extract?

Yes. Better kits delay the collapse that forces early extract at three survivors—and they still help you reach the hatch alive.
