No More Room in Hell 2 Weekly Assignments & Merits
Clear weekly CRC tasks for Merits and keep your post-Armageddon progression moving.
Weekly Assignments landed with the Armageddon 1.0 release as a long-term engagement loop. Each week, Responders can complete a set of objectives that reward items, cosmetics, and Merits—a secondary currency that sits beside Credits in the post-reset economy. If you only extract when you feel like it, you will still progress slowly. If you clear assignments on purpose, your shop options and customization grow without needing endless Nightmare greed.
This page explains how to fit assignments into Scenario and Survival nights across Steam, Epic, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Why assignments matter after the wipe
1.0 reset account progression and rebuilt earning curves. Assignments give every player—veteran or day-one console recruit—a fair weekly checklist. Merits let you choose between cosmetic goals and flexible purchases instead of funneling everything through one currency.
They also nudge healthier play: mix modes, touch different maps, and practice roles instead of repeating one cheese route.
How to play the weekly loop
- Open the assignments panel at the start of your session and note objectives that match your planned mode.
- Prefer Beginner/Normal clears while learning new tasks—dead Responders do not finish weeks efficiently.
- Stack compatible goals: a Raven Rock extract night can also feed supply or objective-based tasks.
- Use Survival weeks to practice speaker holds without abandoning Scenario literacy.
- Spend Merits intentionally after medical and Beacon priorities are covered in Credits—see Loadouts & Credits.
Pairing assignments with real guides
- Scenario map tasks → Raven Rock, Maps & Objectives, Power Plant
- Survival tasks → Survival Mode
- Medical/survival tasks → How to Treat Infection
- Progression context → Progression & Permadeath and Armageddon Update
Common assignment pitfalls
- Queuing Nightmare to “finish faster” and wiping the character you needed for the week.
- Ignoring Solo Mode for route practice, then failing public assignment extracts.
- Spending Merits on cosmetics before Rescue Beacon and pills are stable on your main.
- Letting the week reset while one easy objective remains—check the panel before you log off.
Squad etiquette for weekly nights
Tell friends which assignments you still need. A communicative lobby can finish three personal checklists in one Normal extract. A silent lobby will burn time arguing about side POIs. Hold E for VoIP links, share supplies, and keep infection calls honest so weekly progress survives the pad.
After you claim rewards
Revisit loadouts, reconsider Beacon coverage, and skim patch notes for objective wording changes. Assignments are a living board—Patch Notes habits matter. ## Weekly planning template
- Night one: finish easy medical or supply tasks on Beginner while warming up controls.
- Night two: stack a Scenario map assignment with friends on Normal—Raven Rock or Power Plant if listed.
- Night three: clear Survival board items, then spend Merits only after Credits basics are stable.
- Backup hour: Solo Mode route practice for any map you still fail publicly.
Keep Patch Notes and the Updates Hub nearby when objective wording changes after hotfixes. A misread weekly card wastes a whole evening.
Used well, weekly play turns Armageddon’s reset into a season structure instead of a one-time shock.
