No More Room in Hell 2 Pottsville Walkthrough
Clear the Pennsylvania suburbs, free the Community Centre, then survive the Town Square finale.
Pottsville is a linear Scenario map set in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania—suburban streets that tighten into downtown confinement, alarms, and a single known finale at Town Square. It shipped during Early Access and received a full Armageddon 1.0 pass: clearer neighborhood objective markers, a longer downtown antenna hold, locked rear store doors, paired Midtown-to-Downtown gates, and an extra radio-tune beat before extract. Treat this walkthrough as routing and role advice, not a static code sheet.
If you are new to Scenario grammar, read Maps and Objectives first. Practice the streets in Solo Mode before you risk a skilled Responder on Hard.
How the map is shaped
Spawns sit in a curve outside the suburbs. You work inward through three neighborhood clusters—Green Grove, Brights Park, and Shady Pines—then the Community Centre, then Midtown and Downtown, then Town Square. Field notes still recommend finishing Brights Park last because it offers fewer loot rooms than the other two clusters. Garages remain some of the most reliable weapon and tool caches on the map.
Neighborhood indicators are more specific after 1.0. Use them. The old habit of wandering every driveway “just in case” is how Pottsville eats stamina before the first real fight.
Suburb objectives and the Community Centre
Each suburb cluster has its own required work before the map lets you push. Typical tasks include restoring power, gathering tools and parts for house objectives, and clearing paths so later beats can start. House markers should now be visible from farther away and clear once the parts are found—if a marker lingers, someone still owns an incomplete interact.
Restoring suburb power also feeds the Community Centre, used as a civilian safe haven. Occupants barricade the upper floor while the lower level fills with infected. Your job is to clear a route, restore building power, and call the civilian evac. The gym audio was reworked for 1.0; do not treat silence as safety if the objective is still live.
After you leave the Centre, the nearby bus stop is a clean heal-and-trade pause before the downtown crossing. Use it. Downtown does not give you a polite lobby.
Midtown, Downtown, and the 1.0 gate change
When Responders open one gate from Midtown to Downtown, both gates now open. That is a blessing for late players and a curse if you assumed the second gate still blocked a flank. Call the open and re-assign rear security.
Downtown stores had their back doors locked in 1.0, which removes a few cheesy loops. Prefer the far-left crossing: vehicles along that street make decent runner cover. At the objective on that route, a switch can clear the red poisonous gas—do it before someone sprints through and burns the medic’s kit.
The antenna upload in Downtown is a longer holdout than it used to be. Assign a blunt crowd-control player and a medic float. Large runner packs are common on rooftop fuse work; save shotgun or rifle insurance for those, not for walkers in the street. City Hall police trunks can spawn weapons—loot them on the way, not as a side quest after the finale is armed.
Team 1 recovery beats still ask you to identify specific bodies. Confirm the objective text before you start dragging the wrong corpse across an intersection.
Town Square finale and extract
Pottsville’s known finale is Town Square. There is no rope extract on this map. After 1.0 you must tune a radio before extract will proceed—budget time and a perimeter for that extra beat. The scientist body should stop glowing once its objective is done; if it still highlights, someone missed a step.
Call extract as a unit. Early green-hatch rules from How to Extract still apply if the roster collapses to three living Responders. Infection in a storefront stairwell ends more Pottsville runs than the finale itself—keep How to Treat Infection in the squad’s vocabulary.
Roles that work here
- Melee anchors own interiors. Review Melee Combat if your group still spray-fires every driveway.
- One navigator reads neighborhood markers so the squad does not split across all three clusters at once.
- Medic / mule restocks at the bus stop and again before the antenna hold.
- Rear guard after the dual gates open—Downtown flanks are now a team problem.
Unstuck exists if geometry pins you (pause menu, 30 seconds still). It is not a shortcut through locked store backs.
Difficulty and first clears
First Pottsville clears belong on Beginner or Normal with expendable Responders. Hard lengthens codes and valve times; Nightmare adds density and Prime pressure. Public lobbies that skip VoIP (hold E) wipe in the Centre gym. If your group is learning, say so in chat and refuse silent Hard queues.
Pottsville teaches a simple lesson: interiors escalate faster than rural fields. Control noise, finish Brights Park last, treat the dual gates as a new map, and do not forget the radio before you celebrate Town Square.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Responders preparing for the next deployment.
Which Pottsville suburb should we finish last?
Brights Park. It has fewer loot rooms than Green Grove and Shady Pines, so bank gear from the richer clusters first.
What changed on Pottsville in the 1.0 update?
Clearer neighborhood markers, a longer downtown antenna hold, locked rear store doors, both Midtown–Downtown gates opening together, and a radio-tune beat before extract.
Is there a rope extraction on Pottsville?
No. The known finale is Town Square. Plan a conventional extract and the extra radio tune.
Where should we regroup after the Community Centre?
The nearby bus stop is a practical heal and trade pause before the downtown crossing.
Can I learn Pottsville without permadeath?
Yes. Use Solo Mode to rehearse suburb order and downtown routes, then return online for character XP.
