No More Room in Hell 2 Hotfix #2 Roadmap (Week of August 24)

What Torn Banner listed after 1.0.3.1—and what is still only a plan until it ships.

Hotfix 2 Roadmap — NMRIH 2

Hotfix #2 is the second post-Armageddon stability train Torn Banner sketched on August 13, 2026. It is slated for the week of August 24, 2026. As of August 19 it had not been published as a numbered live note. Do not install rumors. Do not assume every bullet below already exists in your client. When the patch drops, start from official Steam / console text, then use Patch Notes as the re-check ritual.

Hotfix #1 already shipped mid-August as 1.0.3.1 (console 1.005): customization crashes, pattern bugs, Early Access save cleanup, a keybind reset, server stability, and a Hong Kong region. Full write-up: Hotfix 1.0.3.1. Launch-week servers and shop fixes: Launch Week Support.

Why this page exists separately

The August 13 blog mixed live ops (Australia servers, shop prices, Deck status) with a future list. Players kept treating the future list as already patched, then queued Nightmare with broken Normal respawn messaging and missing Solo air drops. Splitting Hotfix #2 into its own page keeps the Updates Hub honest: shipped vs planned.

Until the live note lands, play around the known holes. After it lands, come back and treat this page as historical context.

Planned Hotfix #2 bullets (announcement-time)

Torn Banner’s public list:

  • Normal respawn HUD lie — players still seeing a respawn message on Normal after every respawn point is already crossed. That message trains people to wait for a revive that will never come. Until the fix, assume Normal’s remaining respawns are objective-based, not infinite. Read Difficulty Modes.
  • Extra Normal respawns near extract — additional respawns after the final objective and right before the extraction sequence on Normal, so more of the lobby gets a fair shot at boarding. This is a fairness pass, not a Nightmare nerf.
  • Higher maximum sensitivity — mouse and controller caps go up. Recalibrate after the patch; do not keep launch-week sensitivity if the new ceiling feels like a different game.
  • More crash fixes — leftover crashers that missed 1.0.3.1.
  • Memory usage — especially lower-end PCs and Xbox Series S. Handheld and S-class boxes should re-test after this more than after a cosmetics patch. See Steam Deck and Performance Settings.
  • Graphics settings menu jumping back to the top after each option change.
  • Achievement tracking — some unlocks failing to pop. Hunters: Achievements.
  • Menu navigation further fixes (controller focus issues were also on the under-investigation list).
  • Missing textures, especially on PS5.
  • Beginner air drops missing in Solo Mode — practice nights starve without them. Solo Mode is the page to re-test first.
  • Any under-investigation item that is ready in time.

Still under investigation (not promised for #2)

The same August 13 note listed work that might slip:

  • GeForce Now crashing after Terms of Service
  • Controllers losing focus on level-up rewards and character creation
  • Cross-play disabled matchmaking taking too long
  • Unload keybind not rebinding properly
  • Random controller vibration

If your night is blocked by one of these, do not wait in a broken queue for two hours “because Hotfix 2 is this week.” Swap host, enable cross-play if your group allows it, or play Solo until the live note names your bug.

How to play the week of August 24

  1. Watch Steam news, PS5 / Xbox update text, and nmrih2.com.
  2. Update before you form an eight-stack. Mixed clients fail invites.
  3. Rebuild sensitivity and any binds that moved.
  4. On Normal, re-learn extract timing if extra late respawns actually ship—your “leave the downed guy” callouts may change.
  5. Trophy hunters replay the stuck achievement once after the note mentions tracking fixes.
  6. Solo Beginner players check whether air drops returned before blaming the mode.
  7. Series S / Deck / low VRAM boxes run one performance match before a main Responder goes to Raven Rock.

What Hotfix #2 is not

It is not a new map. It is not Survival season two. It is not a permadeath removal. Armageddon’s contract stays: eight-player online co-op, cross-play, Responder permadeath, Scenario POIs through helicopter extract. If a social post claims “they’re adding respawn everywhere,” that is a misread of the Normal extract fairness bullet.

When the numbered note exists, this wiki will follow the same rule as 1.0.3.1: quote what shipped, date it, and send you back to Controls, Cross-Play, and the Guides Hub for anything mechanical that moved.

Until then, survive hell with the client you actually have—not the client a roadmap promised.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Responders preparing for the next deployment.

Has Hotfix 2 shipped yet?

It was announced for the week of August 24, 2026. Treat it as unreleased until official Steam or console notes give it a number and a date.

What is the biggest gameplay change on the list?

Normal-mode respawn messaging and extra respawns near extract. Nightmare and Hard were not advertised as getting the same fairness pass.

Will it fix my stuck achievement?

Achievement issues are on the announced list, not a guarantee for every trophy. Re-check the live note, then replay the task after updating.

Does Hotfix 2 add new maps?

No. The announced list is stability, memory, UI, textures, Solo Beginner drops, and Normal extract fairness.

Where do I read what already shipped?

Hotfix 1.0.3.1 for the first numbered patch, Launch Week Support for Australia servers and shop prices, Armageddon Update for 1.0 features.
